I have been trying several new brushes and detangling sprays lately as my 3 year old loves to have her hair done but hates the initial brushing. Her hair is that kind that usually has a heavy wave but on humid days it curls and kinks. I came across the Knot Genie, which claims to easily and painlessly remove knots from hair.
So now what makes this brush special and does it work? Yes! It really does work. I was quite surprised with how well it works. I figured ti would take some knots out and pulled and everything else, so before I tried it on me. It ran through my hair with ease leaving it soft and within seconds my hair was tangle free. I didn't have any knots but I did have a tangle. So next I called my 3 year over to let me run it through her hair. We examined the brush together. She mentioned that it looked like a turtle and was cute (plus that she liked the design). I noticed that the shape fit the hand and the underside was slightly curved inward to fit the head better. The bristles are two different lengths and are made of sturdy yet flexible plastic. Some of my older friends say this brush reminds them of a dandruff brush but with longer bristles. I ran it through her hair. I thought for sure it would get stuck as this was the first brush of the day. She had major bed hair (lol). In less than 5 minutes her hair was tangle free and looked like this:
She did not fuss or complain and rather enjoyed having her hair brushed with this brush. I even used it to put her hair into her favorite style..Pigtails! This is her new favorite go to brush. If you say go get the brush and I'll do you hair, she will return with the Knot Genie.
Now is your chance to win a Knot Genie Brush (Green, like the one I received of your own. To enter use the simple rafflecopter form below:

ReplyDeleteI like all the colors, color doesn't matter if the brush works as good as you say. My step daughter has psoriasis and therefore has a very sensitive scalp. She literally cries when we brush her hair and take care of the psoraiasis no matter how easy we are because brushes and combs pull when untangling causing lots of pain due to her very sensitive scalp. I learned that conditioner helps and with my own hair, I've always used tons of conditioner to help with tangles as I have thick wavy hair and use three times as much conditioner as shampoo.... However, we can't use much conditioner with my step daughter, she has all prescription shampoos and even has to use dawn to strip her hair clean due to the greasiness of some of the medicines and also because she has very fine Hair and her scalp has to be kept squeaky clean to help with the psoriasis. But I use detangling sprays with her. We would love to win this brush as it would be wonderful for her as anything that will cause less pain would be wonderful. Truely interested in this brush. Thanks for the review and chance to win. Dh_jax@yahoo.com
